- About Me:
Well, I never thought I'd find myself single going into my "golden years" but here I am. I sometime chuckle when I read profiles of men in their 70's who talk about parasailing, mountain biking and leaping tall buildings in a single bound....I'm not there, although I've been blessed with good health and enjoy long walks, easy hikes and anything in the water. I'm certainly a nature lover but also am a connoisseur of the arts, history and enjoy museums. I still have a very inquisitive mind and love to learn.
I've been blessed with eight children who are all grown and educated and ensconced in their various careers. They live in 5 different states from Maine to Utah with 1 in Germany. Although they've been quite successful in their various endeavors, I'm most proud that they're all just really good people trying to raise good families.
I'm a New England girl (Maine), born and raised but I've also lived in various parts of the country and have experienced some diversity both in the church and out. I grew up in a small town, but have lived in large cities as well. I have become quite adaptable. I moved here last fall from Huntsville, Ut.....loved it there!
I've had two careers as a food broker (20+ yrs.) and as a commercial space planner and office designer (15+ yrs.).
- LDS singles I'd Like to Meet:
Since I've been on both sides of unrequited love, my thought is: "Wouldn't it be nice to find a 'shared love', a two-way street?" I think love is no respecter of age, although I do think we have a keener eye for things after many life experiences. For me it would be an honorable man of faith, confident, intelligent with leadership qualities but also humble and service oriented. It would be a covenant keeping man who honors his priesthood. By the way, please don't assume because I don't have a formal college degree that I'm not intelligent and informed. That would certainly not be the case here.
- The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints:
The Lord sent missionaries to me in a small, remote little town in Maine when I was just short of my 16th birthday. I became the only Mormon in my town, my school but was undaunted because I gained a great testimony at a young age. It has only grown since and I declare myself still a humble follower of Jesus Christ and value my membership in His church. My faith is rock solid and so is my willingness to serve. I attend the temple often.
