About Me:

I am retired and a little quiet. I had been married for nearly 42 years and my wife decided to divorce me (finalized 12 July 2019). We worked together in our business and the stress that that has brought into our marriage (among other things) finally caused an irreparable rift in our relationship. Although this took me by surprise and broke my heart the Lord has been merciful to me and helped me to understand why it happened. That understanding has caused deep pain and regret for my part in our failed marriage. The resulting repentance process has made of me a better man and will make of me a better husband. Having gone through my own version of Gethsemene I feel ready to begin a dialog with some like minded sister to explore the possibility of a deeper and more meaningful relationship than I have ever had.

LDS singles I'd Like to Meet:

I would like to meet someone who can love love me for who I am and who I am trying to become. It is not good to be alone! The woman I want to meet and marry will be someone who is familiar with the voice of the Spirit and who is accustomed to obey. She will recognize that the change that comes through this process is the purpose of our mortal existence.

Church of Jesus Christ:

The power of the truth converted a 23 year old atheist in 1979. I’m the only member of my family to join the church. I've been a faithful active temple recommend holder ever since. I've served in many callings including Branch President and Bishop. I am intrigued about the doctrine of the 2nd Comforter and would like to prepare myself for that marvelous opportunity to see the face of my Savior while still in the flesh. I love Him with all my heart and so desire to find a woman who feels the same way.
I enjoy learning about new things, especially, things of spiritual importance. I derive the greatest joy when I can discern that God is using me to achieve some difficult or challenging thing. Faith is fun. I enjoy family history and going to the temple. I like to work around the house especially in the garden. I think whoever reads my profile needs to take note of where I put this information. Yes, I put it in the “What I do for fun” category. This should speak volumes to you. I don’t find much fun in meaningless recreation. Trying to find satisfaction in the next “good time” event is not who I am. Notwithstanding what I have said above, I do like to snorkel, scuba, camp out, hike, play ping pong, billiards (won an award when I was a kid), play chess, watch movies and although I've never done it much, I think I'd like to travel some. I've spent most of my life working 60 to 100 hours per week, so I've not really had much time for leisure. I'm now at the end of my working career and I'd like to learn how to play an instrument, dabble in the arts, and of course I would like to find an eternal companion so we can serve the Lord on a mission.
