About Me:

Hello. I'm a convert of almost 40 years....hard to believe. My husband of 20 years left
because he didn't want the church lifestyle....hard to believe. I've been single for 27 years. That's hard to believe too! :) I have three grown children, all married; two sealed. I have 12 grandchildren. My oldest grandchild, (granddaughter) served a mission in Panana. My oldest grandson is currently serving his mission in Houston, Texas. My third oldest granddaughter just got her endowment and was sealed in Payson Temple. I worked for the State of California for about 10 years (secretarial) before having the children. I stayed home with them for about 13 years and then my husband left. I went back to work for another 10 years (analyst). I loved my job. My mom got very sick in 2005 so I retired and took care of her. She passed away in 2018 but not before she joined the church and went to the temple (following year). That was the best! Though they have gone on to the other side, I have the most wonderful parents. Our family was raised in the country on a dairy. We moved when I was 12 to a small town. Dad bought property and had a sand and gravel business. Though we had no religion growing up, we had a wonderful family. Lots of family dinners, music, dancing, conversation, laughing. I did finish 120 units of college but could never get the math in (because at the time it was an every day class which I wasn't able to attend) so I didn't get a degree. I love the Restored Gospel with all my heart. I have a beautiful and strong testimony for which I am exceedingly grateful. I love missionary work. I love to read and study. I love to dance. I like walking. I like music. I have been engaged in several building projects this last year (a home, a shop and an additional room). I have enjoyed doing this. I enjoy many things, especially with someone I love. My callings have ranged from Primary teacher, to roadshow writer and director, to Primary President, to Single Adult Regional Rep, to RS Pres Counselor, to Family History specialist. I was recently called to a service mission as a Family History specialist, but haven't done too much on that because of covid. I think I have been a fairly spiritual person in my life and I am trying to work on myself to become more Christlike every day. I think I have improved over the years....at least I hope so.

LDS singles I'd Like to Meet:

I would like to meet a member of the church who has a solid testimony, who is intelligent and spiritual. Someone who has done well with his life (family, school, talents, work, etc.) I am hoping I might meet someone who likes dancing, music, building, working with a partner in many areas (projects, church work, missionary work, family history, helping others, etc.) I hope to meet someone who likes to converse and can converse with people at all levels of society. I would like someone who likes people and enjoys building friendships, but for whom I will be his number one. I would really like to have a partner who enjoys just sharing a life with a companion. I love good listening skills, kindness, and joy in living.

Church of Jesus Christ:

Though not a member of the church until 31 yrs old, I have been blessed with many spiritual experiences during my lifetime (both out and in the church). I found the Savior at 17 years old through a powerful spiritual experience much like Alma and King Lamoni. I knew before joining the church through my own spiritual experiences that we lived in heaven before coming here and that we need to be baptized and born again. When trying to know if the church was true, I fasted and prayed. The Lord responded: "Not speaking necessarily about the individuals, but speaking as to the teachings and doctrines, the structure, and the authority, the Church is true." I had asked about the Prophet Joseph Smith. He responded: "Joseph Smith was called by me." I had questions about the Priesthood. One day I received an answer. It followed the exact statement found in D & C 121 Section 45: ".....and the doctrine of the Priesthood shall distil upon your soul like the dews from heaven." THAT happened to me! I had other questions and as time went on, the Lord gave me answers....line upon line, here a little and there a little. He has helped me through terrible times and has always been there for me. I am so grateful for Heavenly Father, for Jesus my Savior and friend, and for the Holy Spirit, also my dear friend. I have many favorite scriptures. Actually they all are favorites. But I do have great love for D&C 121, especially the blessings at the end. I would also like to say that I feel the Prophet Joseph Smith was right there with me when I first joined the church and was facing many people who didn't want me to join. He was, if you will, like a lion in their path. I love our dear Prophet Joseph.
