- Fremont, California, United States
- About Me:
I am a Software Engineer (because we don't have any of those in the Bay Area, right?) Of course, my job is one of my hobbies so I work on projects here and there in my off-time. I am also a licensed Amateur Radio Operator and a private pilot. With the former, I volunteer for the Alameda County Sheriff Communications Team and I haven't done the latter in a while (but I want to get back into it so I can volunteer with the Civil Air Patrol as a search and rescue pilot). I also enjoy camping and traveling in general.
- Who I'd Like to Meet:
Someone who likes talking about ideas.
- How I feel about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints:
I feel confident that the doctrine is correct and that the Church does, in fact, have God's authority to perform ordinances in His name (I tread lightly around the word "know," largely because my brief foray into physics forever disabused me of the notion that I will ever know anything). I do not, however, believe in the infallibility of the leadership of the Church. Believing that Church leaders don't make mistakes is a failure to understand the doctrine of The Fall. Believing that this is is somehow a major problem for the integrity of the Church's authority is a failure to understand the doctrine of the Atonement (why should I be entitled to the power of the Atonement for my mistakes but the leaders of the Church have to be perfect?) In other words, I don't always agree with my leaders but I always follow them.
