I joined the church before having children. I am so thankful to have had the church teachings to help me and my husband raise them. I am really enjoying studying the Book of Mormon this year and am surprised at how many new things I learn and have enjoyed all the "helps" available. I attempt to attend the temple weekly. My temple bag is in my car when I travel.

I have been widowed twice. I have to admit that it is has been an adjustment to “fit” in the church as a single. I miss having someone to talk to, watch sports with, discuss the gospel, share new things, discuss politics, and snuggle. I miss the hugs. I am sealed to my first husband who passed away unexpectedly. I remarried a couple of years later. My second husband was diagnosed with cancer after two years of marriage and died a year and a half later.
I moved to Utah a year ago and like being close to my son and granddaughters. I like to drive to Idaho, Washington and Arizona to visit my other grand children. I really love children.
I like to garden, collect recipes (used to enjoy baking), read, watch TV, listen to podcasts and travel. I want to go fishing hiking and camping, (just a little cautious to take off on my own) .
I like to try new and old things. I am working on dropping my weight and increasing my strength to be able to enjoy downhill skiing again. I also enjoy jigsaw puzzles and games, watching football, basketball, and golf. However I haven't yet learned to golf properly! I don't need to be busy all the time, I can nap and take it easy. It has been too easy to fall asleep watching TV just to have sound in the house.
I look forward to the Saviors second coming, but want to prepare for it with a partner.
