I am happy with my life and grateful for the experiences that have gotten me to this point. I have not yet been married, and I resolved within myself long ago that it might not happen during this trip through mortality. I know that it will take a very, very elect man to be able to see me for who I am and all that comes with the package of being with me. I have Muscular Dystrophy and use a motorized wheelchair. However, ask anyone who knows me, and they will emphatically tell you that it has not slowed me down in the slightest. The gospel, my relationship with my Savior, and my place on the covenant path mean absolutely everything to me. I feel like my conversion had an initial slow burn for decades, and it wasn't until the last few years that it finally all came together for me. I love gospel studies and conversations, going to church, and attending the temple. I am currently serving a mission as an Addiction Recovery Program group leader and have served in the past as a Relief Society President, compassionate service coordinator, ministering sister, etc. Having said that, I also walk the balance of living in this world and enjoying what it has to offer while trying not to let it pull me away from the things I value most. I am passionate about music and go to as many concerts as I can. I love traveling and festivals and exploring bike paths and meeting new people. My favorite place to be is on the beach, any beach. I like to see movies in theaters, although watching at home in front of the fire is a close second. I love all animals and have two sweet dogs who bring me joy every day. I'm a vegetarian, but I don't try to push that on anyone else. I'm fine eating tofu while you wolf down a steak. :) Oh yeah, I'm always cold. I know temperature wars are a very real thing for people who spend a lot of time together, so I'm putting it out there as fair warning ahead of time. You may wonder why, after a lifetime of acceptance of my single status, I am creating this profile now. I have become more keenly aware recently of the spiritual lessons I am missing by not being in a committed relationship with Jesus Christ at the center of it. I don't feel that I'm being stretched enough in the areas of sacrifice and compromise, the kinds that are only made within a marriage. I don't think I'm learning enough about love. I also know that walking the covenant path with someone by your side must be a whole different experience than walking it alone. If that is what Heavenly Father wants for me in this life, I'm ready.
