- About Me:
-
I am the oldest of 6 children, and the mother of 5 amazing sons. Except for my youngest, who lives with me, my older boys have all grown up and moved away either for school, career, or marriage. I am a Latin teacher (and former English teacher), who loves to learn, teach, and have deep discussions. I'm also working on a doctoral degree in educational leadership, specializing in curriculum and literacy. I'm very passionate about helping children overcome struggles in literacy, and finding creative solutions to empower teachers and struggling readers. I enjoy playing board games and card games, and I also love to do puzzles. I especially love the outdoors and enjoy hiking. I love the ocean, and find time to walk on the walking trails and boardwalks near my home. I enjoy singing and tinkering on the piano. Some fun facts about me are that I lived in Australia when I was little, I love everything pink, and I've taken two groups of students to Italy, where by chance, I happened to see the Rome temple under construction! The most important thing you could know about me, though, is that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is EVERYTHING to me!

The things I admire most in someone are that they make themselves available to the Lord, have absolute integrity, are humble, patient, and kind. I also admire those who love to learn and have made education an important part of their life. I'm looking for someone who loves the temple and goes often.
- Church of Jesus Christ:

I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is my whole world. I love to read my scriptures and study them in depth to gain better understandings. I have a firm testimony that my Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, are real, and are intimately aware of me. I know that they are involved in the details of my life. My parents joined the Church when I was 6. My testimony has become a deep fire within me through righteous living and special spiritual experiences. It began when I learned from the missionaries and my good parents, and asked lots of questions. I am very inquisitive, but I trust the Lord, His timing, and His will. My goal is always make myself available to the Lord and to align my will with His every time, even when I don't understand. I want to be a positive example to others, including my children, of the joy of the Gospel. I love the peace, power, and love I feel from my Heavenly Father, and I want to share that with others. Someday, I want to serve a mission and help bring others to Christ.
