I am a convert to the church since 1975, but also a convert to the Southwest and especially Utah where I have been blessed to live since 2016. Who knew I could be a desert rat after growing up on the coast of Massachusetts and then many years raising a family on the plains of Illinois? I am continually amazed by the beauty of this state as well as Arizona, which is nearby. I am a retired RN and love to hike, and I have kayaked the river around Horseshoe Bend. Also love to ride my bike. I am continually learning as I have an interest in a wide variety of subjects. As far as fiction, I prefer classical literature, but there is some good contemporary literature out there as well. I do love an occasional visit to the beach on either coast. I have a dry, somewhat twisted sense of humor at times. My knowledge of anatomy and physiology from nursing, as well as my extensive education in healthy, living and nutrition has stood me well, and I have been able to help others to regain their health as well. It is not a business, just a way to help others as well as myself. I have been known to go to bed reading medical studies. (Sounds exciting, right?)

Learning, the gospel has changed my life, and it may have been far different than it is now had I not joined the church. I am so grateful for understanding my place in this world, why I am here, what our purpose is, and God‘s plan for us. None of that was clear to me before being taught the gospel. I love that it is like having a second family and I have met many wonderful brothers and sisters that have enriched my life greatly.
