What are the most important things in my life? My relationship with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. The Atonement of Jesus Christ. The New and Everlasting Covenant of Marriage. Intimacy. Families together forever. Friends. Providing for my family. Serving others. Sharing the Gospel. Having conversations about almost everything. Serve another mission with my beautiful wife, if we are inspired to do so.
One of the constant characteristics of our marriage will be, that I will treat you better than I would want to be treated myself. We will be equal partners along the covenant path. Every time I have a nice loving thought about you, I will say it out loud so you will always know how much I love you. You will always know how beautiful you are. If you get sick, I can take care of you. I will always be by your side to help and support you. You will be the center of my life and love.
I have served 3 missions. The first one was in the West Spanish American mission covering California and Arizona. The second one was in Chili, with my wife Rosemary. And the third one was a self-reliance mission in the Dallas Fort Worth Area.
I have been a Branch President twice. The first time in an Asian Branch in Virginia where 8 native languages were spoken. The second time was on Easter Island. I have been a temple ordinance worker. 4 times as 1st counselor in a bishopric, 4 times as an elders quorum president and 4 times as young men’s president.
The first words that 6 of our 8 children said were ‘thank you’ we did not realize this until later in life. It’s just who we were, being grateful.
I was a company commander in the 82nd Airborne Division. In my entire time in the Army, I did not say one swear word. I grew up in the Middle East. I have lived or worked in 22 nations as a management consultant.
I am looking forward to a long and happy marriage stretching on into the eternities!
