Here I am, never where I thought I would be again in this life--suddenly single and searching for a new soulmate. But I have been trying to make the most of it. As a retired BYU professor, I love to read and write. I am active, with biking, travel and sightseeing, hiking, etc. But I also enjoy good, romantic movies and snuggling by the fire with the woman I love. Two years ago I drove up the highway from Dallas to Alaska, and I enjoy a good cruise. Have lived in Oregon, Utah, Maryland, Hawaii, Taiwan, Japan, and now Texas. I am an ordinance worker in the Dallas Temple and sing in the Croaking Toads section (AKA bass) of the Millennial Choir. Have four wonderful grandkiddies and a female buddy who has black hair with brown and white highlights and four strong legs. I work out five days a week for good health. I hope I'm worth getting to know.

I am looking for a soulmate who loves the gospel, loves to serve others, loves the temple, and, most important, is willing to again take the risk of sharing all that with a man. I still believe in the joy and wonder of a good, loving marriage. To me, there is nothing more wonderful than the companionship, affection, and affirmation of a good woman. I enjoy dates where we can interact, and I believe in romance. While I am looking for marriage, ultimately, having good friendships and someone to communicate with is also a great thing (and isn't that how it all begins, anyway?).

I love the Lord, even though I so often feel that often fall short with all my foibles. But I keep on trying every day. I read the scriptures and take great joy in listening to/reading at least one conference talk every day. Serving in the temple always gives me great peace and reassurance that the Lord is in my life, when I wonder where He is. I relate to what Elder Rasband said in conference long ago--I don't remember when I did not have a testimony of the gospel.
