About Me:

I don't want this to be an autobiography, but let me mention a couple of things to give you some insights about me and whether you would like to learn more. I grew up in an active LDS family in Bountiful, Utah. I am the oldest of five children. I was always encouraged to do my best and achieve what I could. I always liked the oft repeated story from President McKay, what ere thou art, act well thy part. On a whim, I applied to the United States Military Academy at West Point. I not only won an appointment, but graduated four years later! That started a 24-year career on active duty in the Army.
I am about to complete 30 years as a Department of the Army civilian employee in Plans and Strategy.
I am an Eagle Scout, parachutist, helicopter pilot, jungle expert, and Army Ranger. I cherish good company, but would rather do things alone, than not do them. I have lived in Utah, New York, Texas, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, South Korea, Puerto Rico and Panama. I have also traveled throughout Central America, South America and the Caribbean.

LDS singles I'd Like to Meet:

Someone, cheerful, highly motivated and who wants to live life and not sit on the sidelines. I envy those that say their spouse is their best friend. I want to be able to say that of my wife! I want a wife who inspires me to be a better man, and I hope I can do the same for her.

Church of Jesus Christ:

My life is centered around the Gospel and the Church. Yes, I do distinguish between them. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is true and unfailing. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is an organization of imperfect men and women trying their best to administer the Gospel of Christ to the world. And sometimes, some leaders put in more effort than others. I do my best to support both, but I try to ensure that errors, or offenses by other members do not distract me from the truths of the Gospel. I have always been active and had a calling (or two). I have a strong testimony and love the Gospel and the cameraderie of the priesthood. I look forward to my full retirement to attend the temple more often, visit dear family and friends and perhaps do a senior mission.
