About Me:

First of all, I tend to say too much, whenever I write anything. My apologies!

I have lived in New Hampshire for the last 10 years. Before that I lived in various other states, including most of my childhood in Maine. I am one of 5 children, and family is important to me. I usually have lived in small towns, and I am not a huge fan of crowds, or traffic.

I enjoy reading books, mainly older works such as fantasy, mystery, and personal development. Also enjoy movies, especially those made for a young audience, or those that have good family values. I also love all the older musicals. I love learning about maps, and history, and various intellectual topics.

I am not very active physically but I am looking to change that. I recently left my employment in the retail sector and I now am working full time to build an online business. I love the fact that this will allow me to travel or relocate to anywhere I wish to go. One of my passions is tracking the building of LDS temples and I would so much like to start visiting all of them, when they are fully opened and travel restrictions have been lifted.

I have never been married or had children, I often wonder why but I know I seldom felt like I had the time or funds (or energy) to be able to support a family. I am somewhat shy in a group setting but I love to interact with people in a one-on-one or small group setting. I am a pretty serious person, I don't open up about my feelings easily but I definitely want to learn to do this.

I should clarify on my political views, since it wasn't one of the options, but I am somewhere between conservative and libertarian. Although I am certainly open to dating people with other views as long as we can both be respectful about it.

I am also interested in alternative, or natural health and medicine practices rather than going to the doctor or taking pills to solve every little health challenge. I have rarely grown my own garden but my mother has always had one and I would love to start doing that in my own place once I have a house with a private yard.

I should add one more note - I will be giving up my beard once I can resume attending the temple. Growing it out has been a yearly habit in the winter but I don't need to keep doing that.

LDS singles I'd Like to Meet:

Women who are interested in serious relationships, or in meeting like-minded fellow Saints to explore the possibility of one. Also someone who has a strong testimony and commitment to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Ultimately I would like to be married in the temple.

I dated a few times when I was in my late 20s but never found someone I felt a connection with. I hope to find someone who will not mind my lack of previous serious dating experience. I don't have a strong preference for dating women with or without children, but I would be interested in having children at some point in my life.

Church of Jesus Christ:

I was born and raised in a Gospel family, baptized at age 8 and have been active in the Church for most of my life. I served a mission to Brazil when I was 20. I have had times recently where my health or my job schedule did not permit me to attend Sacrament meetings but I still attended as many of the online meetings as I was able.

I always believed in what I was learning at Church but I really deepened my testimony during my mission. I love reading the scriptures and discussing them with others. I have always had a good memory for scripture stories and I like to participate in church classes and share what the scriptures are teaching. Sometimes it's not so easy for me to discuss ways I have learned and grown from them.

I also love learning and researching genealogy - I had ancestors going way back nearly to the founding of the Church, I am proud of them but I know that doesn't make me better than other members who are more recently joined or their families.

I love many many scriptures especially in the Book of Mormon. One of my favorites is Ether 12:27 - about why the Lord gives us weaknesses. I often feel my weaknesses but I am grateful to know that there is a loving Savior and an Atonement to help me overcome and be forgiven for my faults. I don't always find it easy to focus on spiritual things but my love of Latter-day Saint music always brings me back to my roots.

I also find a lot of comfort in Church music. I have been blessed to learn to play the piano at a young age, age 11, and I have been playing for Church meetings since I was 13. Even today, when I play the piano I usually spend a majority of my time on Hymns and the Children's Songbook, because of the spiritual feelings they give me, and I know to others as well. My favorite hymn is #85, How Firm A Foundation, because of the inspiring verses 3-7 that are written as though the Savior spoke them to each of us.

I started serving as an ordinance worker in the Boston Temple, shortly before COVID shut down all the temples, and I am very eager to return to this divine work. I couldn't attend frequently in my youth because of extreme distance, but I love being in the House of the Lord.
