I joined the Church at age 25 when I learned there was a modern prophet. I had always studied the Bible and just couldn't believe Heavenly Father would commune with all those prophets for hundreds of year and then just stop forever!!!! I can't quote my favorite scripture, but it was the reason I went on a senior sisters' mission............in the New Testament when they talk about everyone being "encircled about in the arms of His love".
