My name is Steve, and Im 54, almost always happy. I have had the worst day I could possibly experience, so every day is a great day!
I enjoy the outdoors, camping, nature, etc. I work as a rural carrier for the post office, and get all the exercise I could want, and get paid for it. Some intellectual interests include historic towns, characters, sites, helping maintain the last of my great-great grandfather's homestead from 1878. I enjoy building, remodeling, yardwork, gardening, and being creative in fining ways to do things more efficient or better. My nieces and nephews say I'm the crazy, cool, fun uncle, that is most likely to get everyone laughing. My siblings know me better and wonder how I survived my younger years without having a police record. I have a great sense of humor, I am known for being able to have fun conversations with anyone or even strangers. I find joy and happiness in doing things for other people, either anonymously, or known.

I lost a 5 yr old son to cancer and a medical mistake. When he died, when I should have felt anger, grief, sadness, and emotional/psychological/mental/spiritual pain and suffering, all I felt was peace. The pain, burden, and sting of death and loss was taken away and allowed me to move beyond faith, to a firm and sure knowledge or witness of Christ and the plan of salvation. Nothing has, or will ever shake how I feel about my savior, Father in heaven, and the gospel.
I read the book of Job, and I laugh due to my life experiences including more trials, loss, pain, and difficulties than Job endured. Then I marvel at the blessings I have received that allow me to continually be happy, even when facing trials.
