I'm an active Latter-day Saint - the gospel is my home. I served a mission in England and majored in political science at BYU. I am currently serving -- the 6th time in a row! -- as the secretary in my Elders Quorum. I've held the usual positions -- Young Men's President, Gospel Doctrine teacher, etc...

I cut my political teeth in Idaho, working on the staff of a governor, two U.S. Senators and managing a candidate's race for Congress. In 2001, my family and I moved to northern Virginia. A few months later, on 9/11, I was near the Pentagon when the plane hit the building.

I spent 20 years working in Washington DC, as a Senate aide and later as a lobbyist for an interesting group of companies and causes before moving to Utah at the end of 2021.

I now live in Midway, at the Zermatt Resort, and lead a national trade organization.

I was married for 31 years and have three great adult kids -- one Georgia, one in South Carolina and the third in North Carolina. I have one grandson and recently learned that I'll be a grandpa again in November!
