I'm pretty easy going. I'm well educated and currently retired on a decent pension/Veteran's benefits.
I have four kids. All of my kids are adults now, aside from that last teenager, who lives with her mom and will be 18 in December of 2025. I respect my kids, and would respect your/our kids too, as long as they showed me the respect and love that I offered them. I am a very healthy man, and the men in my family who take care of their health live extraordinarily long lives, well into our nineties and beyond. I have really good genetics! I don't smoke (never did) and I don't drink alcohol, and I never take illicit drugs. I am not addicted to sex, but I want to enjoy that pleasure to its fullest, even at my age. I don't think that this will ever go away for me. I am now living in South Dakota, but I recently came here from Idaho. I've lived all over the world, such as Russia, Ukraine, Latvia and Lithuania. I have traveled extensively. There are still many places that I want to see in this world! I've also lived in many different states, like Northern California (where I was born), Nevada, North Carolina, Oregon, Idaho and now in South Dakota. I'm not afraid of living in different places, and I can adapt well to most climates, places and circumstances. The church isn't very big here in rural South Dakota where I live, it's such a small town and my branch is really small here, so I must look away from here if I want to find someone to share this life with. It can take over 3 hours to drive to any church dances or social gatherings!I joined the church at 18 while I was in the Marine Corps. I have held many different callings since I joined the church in 1978, some of which are in the branch presidency while I lived in Russia, and elsewhere, such as a branch presidency counselor, different elder's quorum offices, ward finance clerk, and quite a few others, but my favorites have been family history advisor and teaching Sunday school to teens. I loved doing all of my church callings, but teaching and helping others with genealogy was very satisfying!
I like to go fishing, mountain cycling, hunting, camping and to see the sights of local history. I especially like going on road trips! I am willing to relocate if I find the right woman to share this life with. I don't think any women would be happy living where I do, as it's pretty boring and isolated, and the church support here is pretty restricted.
I kind of lost hope for a time in having a relationship after my ex divorced me, but I am hopeful that I can still find someone to share life with again now. Enough time has passed and I'm ready to live life to the fullest again.
I want to be with a woman that is enthusiastic to show passion, intimacy and affection to me and me alone, and I will return those over to her multiplied. These are important components of a happy marriage, and I've been with partners in the past who didn't value these things as much as they should have. I will not claim that I could make you happy. I am in no way perfect, and I do have my own brand of flaws (don't we all?). I don't think that it is possible to actually make anyone happy but yourself. Many prophets have told us that if we desire happiness, that we should look inward rather than outward and stop blaming others for our problems. I think this is a maxim to live by.

Legally available women between 37 and 58 years of age. We can discuss this further after we've met. I would prefer to be sealed to my wife, but if that isn't possible because you are already sealed and wish to remain so, that isn't a problem for me. If you're young enough to want or have more kids, I am okay with that too, but I don't need it, so I could go either way. I really like having kids around. I am not expressly looking for a much younger women, but I am not afraid of such a relationship either. I am okay with being with someone close to my age as well, I just don't want to exclude you because of youth. I personally think that once you pass 30 years old, age should not be of any real concern. After you've reached 30 years of age, to think that you must be close in age is kind of a high school mentality, and very limiting about the possibilities of love in this life. It's really great for younger people, but it matters very little the older you get.

I don't have a favorite scripture. I like some, I am not fond of others. Isn't that how it is for most people? I have a testimony. My testimony is mine, and mine alone and matters more to me than it will ever matter to you. It is personal and I share it with whom I wish to, and not anyone else. If I get to know you better, I may decide to share it with you. I'm just a very private person regarding this subject, as it has been turned against me in the past, not because it was weird or unusual, but because it left me open to being fooled and betrayed by a woman. I am determined to not let that happen again. This mortal life is far too short and full of liars and deceivers. I am not butt-hurt, I'm just being careful with my heart. I love Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ with all of my heart and would never desire to be outside of Their grace.
