About Me:

Oprah Winfrey once said that your 50s were the best years. Well, I don't know about that! I have been in the fitness/wellness industry for 28 years now. When I was a young 25-year-old trainer my 50+ year-old clients used to tell me that I wouldn't "know" until I "knew". I would rebuttal, "yeah, yeah, I know!" Yeah, I didn't know. Now I do!

Confused now?

So just what do I now "know" besides how the body just doesn't recover as fast from a kick butt workout or that I truly don't understand the emojis that my children send me in texts in place of shorthand?
I now know that life is just too short to spend it alone. I have been single now for over 10 years. At times, being single is really ok. Other times I truly do want someone in my life.
Having been in the fitness/wellness industry for so long, my health is really important to me. I would want someone I am with to take his health seriously too. Crazy or not, I love to grocery shop! In fact, if you want to make me soooo happy you can take me on a date to WholeFoods for the salad bar and gluten/dairy free ice cream sandwich for dessert!
I am passionate about personal development and human behavior. I love to see how I show up in the world and am not afraid to be called out on my "crap". It excites me to see my children learning and growing in their own development especially as they seek for companions. I would love someone I am with to want to better himself as well.
Fall is my favorite time of year. It brings us all things Pumpkin Spice and a re-emergence of being able to be outside from the Texas inferno. Walks, hikes, strolls at festivals are welcomed!
I am an avid podcast listener. Driving an hour to work and back each day gives me a lot of time to listen and learn. I frequently go down the YouTube loophole to find fun things to watch/learn. And I could probably live without Netflix, but why???
Ideas for a first date?? It has been way too long! LOL! Honestly, I am pretty easy going. I call myself a Type A personality with a little Hallmark cry fest built in. Movies are great. I am pretty easily entertained (or so my movie buff son tells me.) Blood, guts, gore , paranormal (I could tell you stories!) not for me, but I will definitely go to any Avengers and Disney movies that come out. And yes, Holidays are for Hallmark movies.

LDS singles I'd Like to Meet:

I recently listened to a great podcast that talked about speaking your truth. So here it goes. What I am looking for.
I am looking for a worthy Priesthood holder who holds the Temple dear to his heart who will absolutely adore me and whom I will absolutely adore back. We will love to spend time with each other. Our sense of humor allows for moments of silliness with occasional spontaneous dance parties in the kitchen while belting out our favorite 80's songs (or at least have patience when I belt out mine!) You know who you are and are always seeking to better yourself. If you have children, you are an amazing father and have an amazing relationship with them. You have an open heart to the complete acceptance of my two grown children. I have so much love to give to all of you and yours. Are you a compassionate person? Are you someone people know they can count on and come to for support? We will be attracted to one another. We will desire each other. And towards the end of life we will still love holding hands and just being by each other's sides. To have a love that I truly did not know I could ever have.

Church of Jesus Christ:

Many times I have asked myself why I never fell away. Life has certainly kicked me in the gut a few times and yet I never fell away. I could blame it on my self-proclaimed "obedient child syndrome", but it really only boils down to one thing. If I were to leave I don't know where I would go. What would I do? How would I choose to live? One thing is for sure this world has nothing better to offer over staying in the "lifeboat." I am grateful I was raised in the church. I am grateful that I have stayed true to my covenants when things in life were tough. I enjoy feeling a sense of "home" when going to church on days when I would rather just stay home and read a book. It took me a while to really learn that a testimony is an ever-growing thing. It has its ebbs and flows. I am grateful for that testimony. I am also grateful that we don't have to be perfect to be loved for who we are.
