Hi, my name is Dave. With me, what you see is what you get. I don't pretend to be someone I am not. My photos are current and are not Photoshopped at all. I'm 6'2" and a smidge, 350 lbs. I'm working on reducing that number, but currently that's it.

I am an introvert by nature, so being alone is not difficult for me. I'm good at it. I'm alone, but not lonely. I would like to change my status though.

I do have some challenges. For most of my life I have battled depression. It is what I call my box of rocks. It is just part of me and I have to deal with it the best I can. I try not to let it affect other people, and enjoy being kind to and making others laugh, I guess to do my part to make their day brighter so they don't have to feel like I do.

I have a pretty unique sense of humor. I will either make you laugh a lot or you will give me that strange look that asks what planet I fell to Earth from. I have a lot of what I call "Weird Brain" moments, where something odd and funny pops into my head so I have to craft it into a joke and post it online.

I have a current temple recommend and use it. I attend church every week.

I am an Ordinance Worker at the Mesa Arizona Temple. I served in the Baptistry for a couple years before the temple shut down for renovations. Now that it has reopened, am again serving there.

My current callings are Ministering Brother, Ward Clerk, and Temple and Family History Consultant. I was the Temple and Family History Lead until I received the Ward Clerk calling.

I've been told that I give really good hugs. I love a good hug, holding hands, and cuddling up in front of a movie. For me, touch is how I show affection.

I am musically inclined-Throughout my life I have played the trumpet, piano, bass guitar and classical guitar. I somehow managed to get past learning the recorder and playing hot cross buns in concert for cringing parents. I have written several of my own instrumental songs over the years.

I am a writer, but not yet published other than an article in the Ensign. I have written a few books in various stages of completion and revision. I enjoy when the words just seem to flow. One of my stories felt like it wrote itself. It was just there waiting for me to write it down.

I am artistic ranging from cartoons to drawing. I won an honorable mention in a college art show. I love to get lost in the creation of a new drawing. It can be very relaxing.

I am very much into Temple and Family History work. I work on family history every day and have had lots of success finding people. I plan on making it to the Celestial Kingdom and plan on bringing as many others with me as I can.

For work I am a Web Developer for a local printing company. I have been with them for going on 19 years.

I have been married and divorced twice. I have a son from each of the marriages. My oldest has two kids so I'm a grandpa. My granddaughter couldn't say Grandpa properly so I became "Brampa". I hope she calls me that even when she's married and has kids of her own.

From those divorces and a couple other relationships, my poor old heart has taken quite the beating. It's been quite a few years since my last one and I haven't been in any hurry to get back into the dating arena. To be blunt, I have had a less than stellar dating career. Hoping that the third time will be the charm.

I love going to Diamondbacks games, dinner, movies, playing games, or whatever fits the bill. I love hanging out and just talking or doing anything together. Its the together part that matters most.

I'm not so much hung up on looks, but of course would like to find someone that I find appealing. I have found that the true beauty of a woman is not in the makeup on her face, but on who and what she is inside. A beautiful face will grow old and wrinkled, but a beautiful soul will not. One of the first things I notice about a woman is her eyes and then her smile. Those two things tell so much about a person. My favorite color eyes are very dark brown. I like long hair on a woman but shorter can be just as good.

I am not the type to come home from work and demand dinner, or to sit on the couch watching football while my significant other is doing dishes.

I'm very easy going, and it takes a lot to offend me. I don't have to be right, and I won't fight just for the sake of winning an argument. My philosophy is that a woman's spirit is a fragile thing and easily broken. I will not purposefully do or say anything to cause harm to that spirit. The caveat to that is that I'm a guy and we are morons and I'm sure I'll manage to say or do something stupid. Just know I will never intentionally hurt you.
