About Me:

I love the outdoors. I am a musician and love classical music. I love to travel and be in the mountains. I love to read and study history. I have a website called "grandpadave.com". I have many of my religious projects out there. I have several recordings of my piano arrangements of hymns, I have my Red-letter reader's edition of the Book of Mormon, my two books I wrote on prayer (Prayer Mapping - Mighty Prayer, Prayer Mapping - Spiritual Gifts), a copy of a Walt Disney film that I starred in when I was a teenager, and my piano course to teach anyone how to play my simplified hymns in just six day.

I was the personnel manager for the Orchestra at Temple Square when it was first setup. One of my favorite callings was being the Primary pianist. I loved to arrange those primary hymns so that the children really enjoyed them. I have been a Branch president, stake high councilor, stake YMs president, and served in the Draper and Manti Temples.

LDS singles I'd Like to Meet:

Someone that has a strong testimony of the gospel. Someone that I can enjoy life with ... that we can have fun together and to serve the Lord. I would like someone that believes in miracles and expects them when they need help from the Lord. I want someone that can be my "cheerleader" when I am down and need help. I would like a passionate women and one that would like to be cherished and loved.

Church of Jesus Christ:

I am a SLC convert to the church. My father was inactive and my mother was not a member. Growing up my family went to the Baptist Church at Easter, the Presbyterian Church at Christmas, the LDS church at Thanksgiving and when anyone turned 8 to be baptized. At 18, my bishop asked if I might like to go on a mission. I told him I always wanted to be a Baptist minister but since I couldn't, being a missionary would be great. My parents didn't know what to think about it. When I left on my mission I didn't know who Joseph Smith was nor anything about the Book of Mormon. So it took several months just to understand the gospel and then to receive a very strong testimony. Several times my companion would sit me down and tell me that what I had taught was not exactly the gospel ... but more from my Southern Baptist teachings. They were patient with me. By the end of my mission I had read over a dozen gospel books and take the at home seminary course.

I love having the priesthood and being able to use to help and bless others. I have been blessed with the gift of miracles. Throughout my life I have been blessed with being part of several marvelous miracles. I like using a phrase when I am needing help doing something ... and I tell others ... I am expecting a miracle ... and low and behold a miracle occurs!

My favorite scripture is "The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: The Lord make His face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee."
