I'm currently a Service Missionary at FamilySearch Library. I find great joy in assisting the guests who come in, to learn to create their family tree, and hoping to find records of their ancestors.
Friends often comment on my being a very nice person and that I am sincere to all that I meet. I know from experience that being a wallflower isn't going to catch friends, therefore I go through great lengths to be the first to introduce myself.
I enjoy quiet times at home and cherish the outdoors where I enjoy the peace of nature as well. I have enjoyed taking trips to unknown places and savor the adventure of such travels.
I'm originally from Berlin, Germany and still have family there. For as many years as I have been in the States I have sadly not seen them very often. My last trip was in November 2023 after a long break of 25 years. Life just happens.
Besides trying to keep up with scripture reading, I also like to indulge reading a good mystery book and enjoy reading biographies of well known people. My latest read was "Insight" a biography of President Russel M. Nelson. Very inspiring life story to read.
Sometimes I enjoy finding good recipes and try them out for the fun of it. I'm happy to say that I've found some great loafs of breads to make, along with irresistible sweet treats. Don't get me wrong with the sweets, I know when to be moderate as I believe in healthy eating. Thankfully, I'm not a fanatic.
Things I would never part with are my belief system and having faith in any challenge I face. I never want to part from my family and real friends. I never want to part with believing in God.
I am by no means perfect and don't expect others to be either, but I expect that I try to give my best daily.
Lastly, I'm not interested in scammers. It's disappointing.

I hope to meet someone who will be equally genuinely kind and accepting and willing to share of themselves. Be honest as best as they can, which includes being integrity minded and do the best they can in remembering Jesus's teachings. I remind myself often to make decisions based on what the spirit helps me to see is best.
Having a testimony of Jesus Christ, of God the father, and believing in the Holy Ghost. They have been my constant companions in my lives travels.
Taking the time to study the scriptures together can add a measure of trust toward each other.
Someone who's not afraid to try new foods. Well! I admit, I'm not exactly a fan of exotic foods, but I don't exactly enjoy a date at fast food places either. Moderation in all things is wise advice.
One more thing, I'd love to meet someone who cares about themselves enough to show it. We have a family motto, "You can be poor, but don't need to show it".

I feel blessed to live in a time of the restored Gospel.
I gained a testimony of the Saviors' divinity while serving a fulltime mission in my younger years.
My favorite scripture story is the visit of Christ to the Nephites/Lamanites (there were no "ites"), and teaching the same gospel principles as back in Jerusalem.
