I should be retiring, but find myself still working full time as a medical secretary. I have had many vocations in my life; retail manager, floral designer, company owner, landscaper, designer, couturier seamstress; to name a few. I love customer service and working with and around people. I've been gathering old friends around me lately and the relationships remain the same as yesteryears. My siblings are all across the nation: a sister in San Diego, a brother in Atlanta, Georgia, and a brother in Bountiful, Utah. I travel to visit them. I have lived in Taiwan and travelled to Hong Kong, Japan, and Hawaii.
How I feel about the Church...
I am an active member of the LDS church. At this point in life most of us have served in many ways. Such is the case in my life. My ancestors were instrumental in helping to build the church in the Philadelphia area. Our Family History was placed in the cornerstone of the Philadelphia Temple, where I now serve as an Ordinance Worker. I am a Family History Consultant in my Ward and keep the Chapel loaded with flowers. (that, in my opinion is my real calling).
What I do for fun...
I love to cook and share it with my neighbors. We have many Five Star restaurants in my area.I do enjoy trying all kinds of food. I am enlivened by the Arts. I enjoy the theater, concerts and movies. At some point in my many "educations"; I earned a 2 year degree in floral design at Longwood Gardens. Longwood was Pierre Dupont's summer home and gardens, which remain open to the public due to his generosity. Golf was my game. That sport remains my muse. I have not played for a few years; no fun hitting the ball alone! I am close to the NJ and Delaware beaches and enjoy visiting and spending time at both. My world changes with the seasons, and so do I. Life is way too short not to enjoy every day that you live. "There are two ways to live your life... One is as though nothing is a miracle, the other is as though everything is a miracle." I quite agree with Albert Einstein; I choose Miracles.
