I’m tall, calm, steady, and optimistic—the kind of person who’s easy to talk to and genuinely listens. I love to have fun without being over the top, and I laugh easily (usually at myself). I enjoy bringing people together—especially around good food. If there’s a crowd, there’s a good chance I’m the one out back cooking on the griddle.

I’m active and like to eat healthy foods and exercise. I’m happiest outdoors or doing something with family—whether that’s playing basketball, pickleball, volleyball or tennis or heading out on the water. I’m always up for trying a new restaurant, planning a trip, or saying yes to an adventure.

My family would tell you I’m loyal, grounded, and that faith plays an important role in how I live my life. They’d probably also mention that my grandkids have me wrapped around their fingers—and that I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Friends might say I’m someone who’s been through a lot but chooses to move forward with gratitude and a good sense of humor. I take life seriously where it matters, but I don’t take myself too seriously.

Overall, they’d describe me as a good man, a fun friend, and someone who’s enjoyable to be around—whether it’s for a conversation, a shared laugh, or a new experience.

I have been blessed with a large close family (9 children and 7 grandchildren - 8 in May) that all still live within a few hours of home. We love to get together and enjoy time with each other. I have 2 boys still at home - a returned missionary going to college and a senior in high school, so I will be an empty nester in a few months. I am also retiring in a few months from my career as a Business Administrator for a school district and getting excited to get started on the bucket list.

After losing my wife, I’m taking things one step at a time—interested in meeting good people, enjoying great conversation, maybe a friendly dinner, and seeing where things go.
