I’m tall, calm, steady, optimistic and easy to talk to. I love to have fun without being over the top, and I laugh easily (usually at myself). I enjoy bringing people together. If there’s a crowd, there’s a good chance I’m the one out back cooking on the griddle.

I’m active and like to eat healthy foods and exercise. I’m happiest outdoors or doing something with family - playing basketball, pickleball, volleyball or tennis or going to the lake.

I’m loyal, grounded, and faith plays an important role in how I live my life. My grandkids have me wrapped around their fingers—and I love their hugs and kisses.

I’m someone who’s been through a lot but chooses to move forward with gratitude and a good sense of humor. I take life seriously where it matters, but I don’t take myself too seriously.

I have been blessed with a large close family (9 children and 7 grandchildren - 8 in May) that all still live within a few hours of home. We love to get together and enjoy time with each other. I have 2 boys still at home - a returned missionary going to college and a senior in high school, so I will be an empty nester in a few months. I am also retiring in a few months from my career as a Business Administrator for a school district and getting excited to get started on the bucket list which includes lots of travel, more time at Lake Powell and the ranch and projects that I have put off for years.

After losing my wife, I’m taking things one step at a time—interested in meeting good people, enjoying great conversation, maybe a friendly dinner, and seeing where things go.
