Although I was baptized when I was 8 years old, I consider myself a convert. I grew up in a house where the gospel was taught daily, we had weekly family nights and went to church regularly. I even served as the seminary and young women's president. However, I never had my own testimony and soon after leaving home at age 18, I left the church. It was 9 years later, after the death of a friend, the birth of my son and the death of another friend that I found my way home to God. I am ever so grateful for the sacrifice that Christ made for us in the garden that allowed and still allows me to be cleansed and forgiven.
