I grew up back East, came to Utah to visit, and ended up staying. I raised three sons, who are very important to me, as well as their wives and children. I volunteer with scouting America (BSA), I love family time, get-to-gethers, walks, watching sporting events, concerts, plays, etc. I am a "what you see is what you get" person. I would rather be in jeans and a t-shirt than a dress, but I will get dressed up for special occasions. I do dress appropriately for Church and most all occasions. (I won't embarrass you.) I am looking for someone who values respect, total honesty, open communication, loyalty, faithfulness, kindness, a fun sense of humor, passion, you know, all the good stuff. I value them and show them especially to those I love and care about. I want to feel appreciated and I like to show my person how much I appreciate him. I love to laugh and have a good time. (I hate trying to describe myself) I am not necessarily looking to get married, because I have learned to enjoy my space and my freedom. Friends and family have encouraged me to "get back out there" so I am giving it a shot.

I'd like to meet a man who is looking for the same, fun sense of humor, faithfulness, loyalty, honesty, etc. Someone looking to go on walks with, go to dinner with, or cook together. Someone who could sit home and watch a movie (action, western, rom-com, etc), or go camping or on an outdoor adventure. I appreciate a man holding the door for me, and I always tell them so. Hand holding is great when you're walking together, or sitting together. I guess you can say I'm old school, but I can and will do things myself, if I need to.

There are so many things I like about the Church. We always hear about the bad things too, but my testimony is strong. It took a bit for me to finally join, but when I received my answer, I knew, and that has never shaken. I have had brief periods of inactivity, due to life struggles, but no one has ever questioned my belief. One of my favorite stories is when my sons and I had moved back to Ohio, and the sister missionaries had asked me to drive them to visit a couple of families. I had a 1/4 of a tank of gas, on Tuesday. I wasn't getting a paycheck until Friday afternoon. One son needed to get to Seminary (17 miles away) every morning before school, then I had to take him the 17 miles back to school, then 15 miles the other way to work each day. When I got in the car Tuesday evening to go get the Sisters, I prayed that all would go well and that I would be able to do all those things everyday and still have the gas. Friday night, I coasted into the gas station and my car "died" close enough to the pump that I could get fuel. I sat there and cried for a few minutes, as I thanked Heavenly Father. I have been so very Blessed in my life with great experiences, and great people in my life and I am so very Thankful and Blessed.
